National Safety Council-Gujarat Chapter (NSC-GC) was
established at Mahatma Gandhi Labour Institute, Ahmedabad on 4th April
2007, It was Inaugurated by State Labour Minister, Gujarat State to generate, develop
and sustain a voluntary movement on Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) at the
State level. It is an apex nonprofits making, tripartite body, registered under
the Societies Registration Act 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950.
To fulfill its objective NSC-GC carries out various activities.
These include organising and conducting specialised training courses, seminars &
workshops; facilitating organisations in celebrating various campaigns e.g. Safety
Day, Fire Service Week, World Environment Day. A computerised Management Information
Service has been setup for collection, retrieval and dissemination of information
on HSE aspects.
To its credit, NSC-GC has successfully
organised many state level and national workshop & Seminars in collaboration
with its Head Quarter-Mumbai and DMI Bhopal e.g.

Jointly organized by National safety Council-Mumbai with National Safety Council-Gujarat
Chapter Supported by Director Industrial safety and Health Guajart State at Vapi,
District: Valsad (Gujarat), dated 27-28th March, 2012 & implemented many a prestigious project. It also serves
as a gateway to the state-of-art information on HSE aspects at the international
level.
In the course of its services for the last 5 years, it
has built up technical expertise and competence to meet the emerging challenges
in the HSE aspects due to continuous advancements in technologies.
It has been doing dedicated service to the State in developing and leading the voluntary
movement under the able guidance of the Governing Body since 2007
